We can work with you on most rule issues and if you are legal at a local track/event we should be able to run you here. Communication is the key.
GENERAL FOR ALL CARS
If you are leaving your car at the speedway for junk all titles must be given to me at the track. Shane Nelson 269-845-6523

Also, we expect small rule revisions so keep your eyes here for any revisions.

 Engine Cradles will be allowed. We will still not allow $10k 500hp engines in (this) event but we will allow cradles.

Made revision to "Hoods and Trunks #7) to allow for cars built to International rules.

ALL CARS MUST BE 1980 OR NEWER! NO IMPERIALS, HEARSES OR LIMO'S

General
1.
All glass including windshield, side windows, rear windows, headlights, taillights, and mirrors must be removed.
Rolling down windows is not permitted.
2.
All chrome molding, trim, airbags etc...must be removed. Including bottom portion of seats. Rear seats must be removed. Rear decking must be
removed out of station wagons.
3.
Any sharp protruding fins or dangerous objects must be mashed down or cut off.

No trailer hitches
5.
It is mandatory that the windshield areas have 1 vertical bar in center. It is also recommended that driver’s window have strong wire or nylon mesh screen (especially non-post cars).

6.
BODY
 Hood, trunk, hatch back, or tailgate may be wired in 6 places, 2 strands of #9 wire per hole. Wiring must be from sheet metal to sheet metal. All cars must have hoods and hood latches must be removed. If you wish, instead of wiring the hood, trunks and doors shut you may weld them. Hoods and trunks can be welded shut with 6 inches on 6 inches off maximum. For hoods, trunks  you may use a filler between the seams to weld to. The filler may be no larger than 5/16" diameter round stock. Filler sections on hoods and trunks are limited to the same 6 inches on 6 inches off with the welds.
Hood and trunk.
Hoods and trunks do not have to be left open for inspection however hoods must have a single open area at least 24"X24" square or larger.
7.
Rubber body mounts may be removed.
8.
Driver’s door does not have to be painted differently for safety purposes but you may wish to do so. It is mandatory that the driver’s door be reinforced inside with steel bar, angle iron,or pipe. Not to exceed 2 inches past either end of driver’s door. The driver’s door must be securely closed. The driver’s compartment must be padded with old seat foam etc..
9.
All doors may be chained, wired, and or plated with up 2”x 6”x ¼” thick steel plates with 6” of separation. You may weld the drivers door all the way around if you wish.
10.
Hood must have opening cut over carburetor, 8” or larger, for fire safety. Trunks must also have hole in center 12” or larger.

Interior
12.
Stock gas tanks must be removed from original position and a portable 7-gallon max. Tank must be placed in rear seat area. All tanks must be securely fastened and covered. Gas lines and fittings must be leak proof. Only rubber or metal lines permitted. No plastic lines!
Officials will give final approval on tanks. Electric fuel pumps permitted. Must have shut off switch in driver’s compartment. The gas lines must be ran through the cab not under the body. The gas line must be cased in pipe or hose while inside the cab.
13.
Only one battery, any size is allowed. It must be relocated to passenger side, front floorboard and covered.
14.
Large Holes in the firewall and floorboard (over the transmission) must be covered. Holes for Distributor and shifter ore okay.
Cage
15.
HALO CAGE - is not mandatory but we highly suggest you have one! For a Halo cage a Minimum of 2” round or square and maximum of 5” round or square material. Must have bars behind front seat, door
bars, and cowl bar. Cage can only be attached to sheet metal. CANNOT exceed 8” behind center pillar. Cowl bar must beat least 4” away
from fire wall.
16.
Roll over bars are permitted and must be attached to the cage, either inside the car or over the roof.Roll over bar must be attached to the cage and not the frame.
17.
No supports from roll cage to rear hump of cars. Gas tank mounts must have 8” between bracket and package tray.
Engine
18.
Welded solid and or chained engine mounts are recommended. .If chains are used you may use 1 reasonble chain on each side of engine.
Engine Cradles are fine. Good blocks are getting hard to find so we have revised this rule to allow them on 9-6-17. Distributor protectors are fine but must ONLY protect the distributor and not reinforce the car in ANY way.
Also, this is a mostly stock class. This means while you can swap engine makes and models between cars or convert fuel injection to carb we WILL NOT ALLOW $10,000 high horsepower engines. Engines must be mostly stock. If your engine appears to be a 400hp monster it will not be allowed. Head inspector has FINAL say. If it sounds like a duck and acts like a duck it will be labeled as such.
19.
Engine mounts and distributor protectors must be at least 4 inches from the cowl bar.
20.
Radiators must remain in original position or be taken off. No extra water tanks anywhere in the car. Transmission coolers are permitted.
Coolers mounted in passengers compartment must have covered lines or be braided hose.

21.
FRAME
-No foreign substances (concrete, steel, etc...) allowed in the frame!! No frames plated from front to back etc...etc...etc...etc... Broken
frames may be patched with no more than (2) 8"x8" patches. You must leave a small bad area of the frame to be inspected. No patches allowed on any frame that does not show obvious need for a patch or you will not pass inspection. Ford frames may be pitched down.
22.
You are allowed a ¼” thick by 22” long hump plate, contoured to the hump, centered and welded with one pass of ¼” weld. This plate must
be welded to the outside only, match the factory hump and not span the center of the hump. Do not weld any seams on the rear of the car.

23.
SUSPENSION
Mostly stock suspensions! ALL CARS MUST HAVE SOME GIVE OR BOUNCE. They can be stiff but pushing with 2 hands must show some give. Rear coil spring cars cannot be converted to leaf springs period. Coil springs may be chained in or welded in at the axle end only.
24.
Bumpers
-We want the bumpers to stay on the car!! It is mandatory that bumpers be welded to the car and shock gases are released or bumper shocks removed and bumper welded straight to frame. "Hardnosing" is okay. You may use 1 chain on each side near the frame to wrap the bumper 1 time and through core support and hood on each side.
NO DOG CHAIN OR WIRE HERE. Aftermarket bumper mounting brackets must be no longer than 6”.
25.
Tires
-No restriction on size. No split rims, custom built rims, liquids, wheel weights, studded or screwed tires.
 
ATTENTION

MINI CAR ADDITIONAL RULES
1.
Foreign cars are permitted. Compact cars may be ran as "gut and go" build legal from another local track if you wish but all glass must be gone except for the windsheild. We strongly recommend you remove the winshield though. Compacts can also be built more for the big car demolition derby rules above and you must understand this.
2.
Wheel base of 108 inches or less.
3.
3, 4 or 6 cylinder engines cars.
4.
Preparation and safety rules that pertain to regula
r demolition derby will apply. You may stuff front bumpers on compacts. No frame stuffing or reinforcing though.
5.
For the compact car class you may use factory fuel tank if very securely strapped and covered behind driver seat.  You are responsible for making the fuel filler necks safe and not leak. This will be inspected thouroughly.  We suggest the filler neck be high, secured and covered. If your fuel tank was located in front of the rear axle you may run without moving the tank but it is recommended to move it inside the car.
IN CASE OF YOUR CAR CATCHING FIRE DURING THE EVENT

After 2 small fires a 3rd will cause disquaification. This rule may be enforced with fewer fires depending on the situation. Head judge makes final decision.
